Project Description
This office building in the Deurganckdok in Antwerp is designed like stacked containers. A very common sight in the harbour. A lot had to be taken into account, like traffic traffic flow (traffic also goes under the building), high voltage cables and train trracks. The building consists of in total 4 building layers, of which 1 under ground. A 65meter walkway connects the parking lot with the office building. The recess in the top floor had to be made, because otherwise the building was too close to the high voltage cables. This part of the buidling is now a roof terrace. The curtain wall is staggered on each floor by 20cm.
