Hoofdkantoor Politie
The office complex "de Artillerie", once built in historic style in the 90s, is transformed into the new, spacious and light headquarters of the National Police with a combination of different kinds of workplaces, departments can easily shrink or grow.
The design team assessed in advance which parts were effectively reusable, from an economic, sustainable and aesthetic perspective. Ranging from toilet groups, kitchens and installation groups to cable ducts, parts have been retained if this proved useful.
In the context of sustainability, the effectiveness of the (partly reused) installations has also been improved, so that the building has become more energy efficient. The materials used have also been selected on the basis of minimal environmental impact and the atrium has a four-storey high 'plant wall' for a pleasant and healthy indoor environment.
For this project, Alumet anodized brushed panels in AluGrey04 and (partly perforated) panels in AluNature and AluBronze02.
