Project Description
The Swansea Arena is located in Copr Bay, Swansea on the spot where in former days copper ore and coal were loaded into waiting ships. One of the remaining walls from that time serve as base for this Arena. The Swansea Arena is part of the city's regeneration plan to become an attractive city and welcome new inhabitants. In total 6.500 m2 of profiled and perforated panels were anodized by Alumet in the colour AluGold03. The facade also contains over 100.000 programmable LED lights that illuminate the night or during a show. Next to this, sun and shade play an important role in the colour perception of this facade.
