Brushing

Applies a fine linear texture that gives aluminum a distinctive, stainless-steel appearance with modern appeal.

What brushing does

Brushing is a mechanical finishing process that creates a controlled, linear texture on the aluminium surface. Fine abrasive tools are used to introduce directional lines, giving the material a structured appearance while preserving its metallic character.

The resulting texture remains visible after anodizing, adding rhythm and movement to the surface without compromising uniformity.

Performance & application

Performance & application

Brushed finishes influence how light interacts with the aluminium, creating subtle variations depending on viewing angle and orientation. Because brushing is performed before anodizing, the anodic layer follows the surface structure, ensuring consistent appearance and durability.

Brushed anodized aluminium is often used where a defined surface direction supports the architectural concept, while maintaining suitability for exterior applications and long-term use.
