Project Description

The new Karolinska university hospital, Nya Karolinska Solna (NKS), is built only a few hunderd metres away from the old. Located in the Swedish town of Solna, north of Stockholm. It is one of the world’s most sustainable university hospitals and has room for 715 patients divided over 12 storeys. The hospital is even equipped with an own subway station near the entrance. For the sustainability this building obtained the LEED Gold certificate. Alumet anodised the 5.200m2 facade panels in the colour AluNature.
