Project Description
Bunhill 2 Energy Centre is located in Islington, Londen. It turns excess heat from the London Underground into heating and warm water for over 500 houses and a number of public building nearby. in this way it contributes to lowering energy bills, CO2-emision and air pollution in the city. It claims to be the first heat network of its kind in the world. The colour AluCopper04 was chosen for its resemblance with the oxblood-coloured tiles in the London Underground Station and for the copper pots of the gin distilleries that could be found around there in earlier times.
