Anodizing is an electrochemical process that enhances aluminium’s natural durability and beauty to achieve cladding of the highest quality. Our bright anodized aluminium profiles are corrosion-resistant, UV-resistant and more durable than other cladding alternatives. The chemical brightening of aluminium with AluNature means timeless beauty for you.

The result is bright, almost white, silver anodized aluminium facade panels with the following benefits:

  • Light weight panels, making construction easier
  • Nonbrittle, resistant to cracking and chipping
  • High solar reflectivity, keeping cities cool
  • Low in maintenance, easy to clean
  • Expected lifespan of more than 80 years
In nature, white is often an illusion

In nature, white is often an illusion

The polar bear is a well known example. Its fur is not actually white. Each hair is translucent and reflective, scattering light so efficiently that it appears bright white to the human eye. Snowflakes behave in a similar way. Ice itself is transparent, but when light reflects and scatters across countless small surfaces, we perceive it as white.

This principle of reflection rather than pigmentation is what creates the impression of whiteness in many natural materials.

Applying the same principle in anodized aluminium

At Alumet, we apply a similar principle through brightened anodized aluminium. Instead of using pigments or coatings, the aluminium surface reflects and diffuses light. The result is a bright, almost white appearance created purely through reflection.

Our AluNature brightened anodized aluminium profiles and panels achieve this effect through chemical brightening combined with anodizing. The surface remains metallic and natural, while appearing bright and white under daylight.

Recycled aluminium enhances the white appearance

Recycled aluminium enhances the white appearance

Our brightened anodized aluminium can be produced with up to 90% recycled aluminium. Subtle variations in the recycled material interact with the brightening process, helping scatter light across the surface and enhancing the perceived whiteness of the finish.

Combined with anodizing, this creates a bright, reflective façade surface while reducing embodied carbon, without compromising the durability and performance of aluminium.

Powder coating

  1. Heavy, thicker than anodized aluminium.
  2. Can wear and scratch more easily.
  3. Durable but not easily recyclable.
  4. Less suitable for hot environments.
  5. More cost-effective
